Fernando Alonso, official Ferrari driver

During this week Ferrari had its traditional meeting at the Madonna di Campiglio ski resort in northern Italy. Fernando Alonso made his debut in official team wear here. There were also his team mate Felipe Massa, Giancarlo Fisichella and drivers from team Ducati in MotoGP.
Mostly these meetings are connected with some press activities.
Actually, Alonso seems to be contented with his new team and also with his team mate. They were talking more than Massa did with Kimi during three years... At least Felipe Massa said this.
Honestly, if you look back at Kimi's time in McLaren you'll see a happy and satisfied young man. In addition to this he is more opened and happy in Rally, too. He is cheerful, communicative and there are sparks in his eyes! I'm pretty sure now that after 2007 he wasn't happy in Ferrari at all. Seeing him satisfied in Rally is making me content.

But this is not about what Massa said or not. This is about Fernando Alonso and his debut in last team in Formula One. Yes. He is not thinking about switching to another team in the future. I'm simply curious what's going to be when his contract with Ferrari expires earlier as he thinks it will.

Week News

After a very busy week I finally have time to sum up Formula One news of this week. Honestly I was surprised how many reports I've found. The biggest "surprise" was the split of Nicole Sherzinger and Lewis Hamilton. Both of them want to focus on their career. Well, the leader of the band PCD has drawn enough attention to herself and to the band during last year...
I'm not saying they weren't in love, actually, I'm sure they were, but I have my own opinion.

Coming back to the main topic, I'm really pleased with Pedro de la Rosa's possibly switch to Sauber. According to the Swiss newspaper Blick, he is a potential candidate to be Kobayashi's next team mate. Let's see when will be the official enouncement.

It seems maybe Rubens Barrichello will be the only one, who will test on 1st February 2010 in Spain! Actually I hope not. I really need to see some results!

Last but not least rumor is about Nelson Piquet jr. After long speculations and linkings with Campos or Force India he has confirmed a Nascar switch for 2010. We won't see him a lot on the European continent, but still I wish him more luck as he had in F1. By the way, he's thinking about to contest in Le Mans in the future.

I have to ask this question. Is nowadays Formula One here to prepare the drivers for Rally?? There are too many F1 drivers who peep at it recently.
After Kimi Räikkönen's debut in Arctic Lapland Rally last year (and now he's switched to rally for a whole year), it seems that Kubica, driver for team Renault, has an eye on it too...
He is going to contest in Monte Carlo rally with Renault Clio R3 during 19-23 January 2010. This is going to be his fourth rally event (!!).
Poles are generally good in rally. Maybe Kubica will be another new WRC driver. Who knows what the future will bring.

Happy Birthday

Wow! How many people were born in January!
Adrian Sutil is not an exception. He's celebrating his 27th birthday today. I wish him only the best and resultful season in F1!

Happy Birthday Adrian!!

March is closer day by day!! I'm so glad that I've survived these 10 days and I'm finally back in posting news from Formula One world.
I recently read some articles about the point scoring system. The dotting will be for first ten drivers. Driver on first place will get 25 points, which is in vain. Actually, I don't like this new point scoring system, but a change is possibly. At least I hope there will be more fight for the places...

A huge question mark hanged above Silverstone circuit in the end of the last season. There was a chance the British GP will be in Donnington or nowhere. I hate crisis... Fortunately, Silverstone stays in the calendar.
The most positive newie for me is that F1 is going back to Canada!! I've really missed this track from the calendar. I love so much the track, city and country.

In addition to this Buemi, driver for Torro Rosso is going to drive F1 car on Montreal ice next Sunday! With this event they'll celebrate the return of F1 to the Canadian city. I'm really looking forward to it.
